Overview

EMVCo manages the EMV Specifications, the global standard for chip-based payment card transactions. EMVCo compliance indicates that payment systems and applications conform to EMV technical specifications for contact, contactless, mobile, and QR code payment acceptance. Scope of Certification

Covers EMV specifications for chip-based payment transactions including contact (ICC), contactless (NFC), tokenization, 3-D Secure, QR code payments, and Secure Remote Commerce (SRC).

Audit and Assessment Process

Compliance is validated through EMVCo-accredited testing laboratories. Products and systems undergo functional, performance, and security testing against applicable EMV specifications. Approved products are listed on the EMVCo website.
